Oasis Go-Kart Track Welcome to our unique Karting Project. We have re-launched motorised karting activities along side our current pedal Karting sessions to provide opportunities for older children and young people to operate within clear boundaries, take measured risks, develop self control, responsibility and patience. This project combines the excitement of racing and driving with the opportunity to develop mechanical and health and safety skills that are often a skill that will provide opportunities for future employment. By offering the opportunity to be involved in marshalling and track and kart maintenance, the project also enables young people to develop vital social skills in terms of cooperative and team working, leadership and effective communication techniques. The kart track is based in an old school playground and is modified to provide the most excitement and fun whist operating within strict health and safety boundaries. This project is frequently used by groups of young people with specials needs and hard to reach groups. We have specially adapted karts, as well as staff who are experienced in working with young people with a variety of special needs, to enable them to participate fully in karting sessions.
