Help with a donation
Every bit of extra financial support helps us in our work. Even a small donation could buy a pair of children’s gardening gloves or new tyre or support a volunteer with travel expenses. Larger donations could contribute towards new projects at one of our sites or improving our children’s facilities.

If you would like to make a donation, please make your cheque payable to `Oasis Children’s Venture’ and send to: Oasis Children’s Venture, 1 Aston House, Springfield Estate, Wandsworth Rd, London, SW8 4ER.  

It’s easy (and free!) to increase the value of your gift: If you send us a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim back the tax you pay on your donation. If you work for a larger business, you may find it has a policy of matching staff donations of time or money to charity - do ask your employer.

Help with your time
Giving your time can be rewarding, fun, fulfilling, inspiring, informative, sociable, healthy and challenging.

Oasis needs volunteers for occasional half days or a regular commitment, at weekends and during the week. We need help with leading children’s sessions, maintaining our sites, gardening, administration and supporting trips and events. Please contact us to discuss these.

Gardening and Site Maintenance Volunteers
No experience is required to help at the Nature Garden and Adventure Playground sites with tasks like cutting back greenery, improving pathways, digging over hard ground, mulching to improve the soil, turning the compost heaps, pruning, weeding, maintaining the ponds, watering, planting, collecting seeds and planting bulbs.

Administration Volunteers
We need help with data management, mail outs, reception, minute-taking and other tasks at the main office. If you are able to make a regular commitment and have a little computer experience and a good telephone manner we would be pleased to discuss how we can help you expand your career opportunities, and help with the running of Oasis Children’s Venture.

Children and Young people’s Sessions Volunteers
Children’s play leaders are needed to support staff in running our children’s sessions, particularly during the after school hours and Saturdays. We also run special workshops and events for schools and community groups. Could you encourage creativity and exploration of one of our unique play spaces and help enable children to play freely in an inner-city area?

Management Committee Members
We need new active members to help with tasks like raising awareness of children’s play, health and safety issues, community consultation regarding future developments, dealing with problems and responding to new ideas. We particularly need people who are local to our three projects.

Corporate Volunteers
Oasis Children’s Venture can provide one-off gardening and maintenance projects for groups of corporate volunteers.
